Department Summary
The global vision of the College of Pharmacy is to be an extraordinary team committed to a culture of excellence, innovation, equity, and collaboration to improve health. Our motto, “We make healthcare better,” reflects the increasing contribution to healthcare that can be provided by doctors of pharmacy trained in the highly interprofessional and primary care environment present at the HSC Fort Worth. Our focus is on the patient. Making healthcare better crucially depends upon improved teamwork of a variety of healthcare professionals and improved access for patients. Doctors of pharmacy involved in disease and medication management make healthcare better by increasing safety, improving outcomes, and reducing costs.

Position Overview
This position will conduct in vitro experiments, perform molecular and biochemistry studies, oversee genotyping and support the maintenance of breeding colonies for transgenic animals, conduct in vivo experiments including behavior tests, and involvement in the experimental design of the studies.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Employees in this job may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and they must be able to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.

- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions
- Skill in recording and maintaining reports and details logs
- Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization best practices

Job Duties:
- Execute experiments independently, collect data and take good notes of experiments, and keep up-to-date with the most recent literature in the field of study.
- Write manuscripts and prepare materials for scientific presentations inside and outside.
- Preform technical procedures involved in execution of own experiments (i.e. Analyze experimental results of experimental protocols).
- Presentation of project results to internal and external parties.
- Operates specialized scientific equipment.
- Performs statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure, setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing and writing programs to perform analyses, and producing written reports on the result of the analyses.
