Department Summary
The Educator Preparation Program at UNT provides teacher candidates the opportunities to move beyond being students of organized knowledge to becoming teachers who put their acquired knowledge into practice in EC-12 classrooms. The Clinical Practice Office supports this goal through partnerships with district and school teachers and administrators to provide field-based preparation opportunities for both undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students seeking initial teacher.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to the UNT Educator Preparation Office in the College of Education. Coordinates activities and acts as university, college, departmental, and district initial contact and liaison. Identifies issues or problems, researches and presents/acts upon solutions within specific areas of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and three years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced written/verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft 9.0/9.2
- Experience with Enterprise Information System (EIS).
- Experience with ePro/ePar/Pcard/Concur Travel procedures.
- Familiarity with UNT policies and procedures.

Job Duties:
- Supervision of Student Assistants and Hourly Staff.
- Serve as a resource to faculty and staff for policy or procedural questions and make appropriate referrals and recommendations to ensure successful resolution of needs.
- Communicate proactively, effectively, and professionally with internal and external offices, departments, district partners and individuals.
- Collaboratively work with partner school district Human Resources and Administrative staff to process Memoranda of Understanding documents.
- Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Educator Preparation (e.g., scheduling, travel and meeting coordination, correspondence).
- Take primary responsibility for annual budget forecasting, preparation, monitoring, and resolution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event coordination, including all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and vendor management to ensure all aspects are executed on time, within expectations.
- Handle and oversee Hiring, Human Resources, Payroll, Timekeeping, Purchasing, Travel, Records Retention, and Asset Inventory for the department and sub departments (Clinical Practice Office, TExES Success Office, The Presidents EDGE Program, etc.)
