Department Summary
The University of North Texas is launching a new department that places learning and innovation at the center of its student success mission. This department integrates three interconnected units: the Learning Initiative, Teaching Hub, and Curriculum Connector, to advance research-based approaches to learning, support evidence-based teaching practices, and align curriculum with career readiness. By fostering collaboration among faculty, staff, students, and industry partners, the department drives institutional innovation, enhances teaching and learning, and ensures UNT students are prepared to thrive in their academic journeys and future careers.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing executive, administration, and communication support for “LEAF: Learning Ecosystem for Adaptive Futures” that serves as the coordinating structure for three new academic units at UNT. The position will provide support for the multiple co-directors and the diverse workstreams of the three units.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Keen attention to detail. • Experience with budgets and spreadsheets. • Professional writing style. • Strong people skills and demonstrated success working collaboratively. • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring discretion, clear reasoning, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.

Job Duties:
- Budget Management and Oversight - Responsible for oversight of the unit's budgetary activities, including monitoring expenditures, tracking allocations, and ensuring fiscal compliance
- Faculty and Staff Compensation Administration - Manages paperwork related to compensation of faculty and staff participants in unit activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Event Coordination and Logistics - Provides logistical and calendar support for unit activities including seminar series, team meetings, and special events on behalf of the co-directors
- Communication Management - Handles daily communications including email correspondence and website news updates, serving as primary communication liaison
- Physical Space Management - Manages the physical space of LEAF, including scheduling, maintenance coordination, and space optimization
- Problem Resolution and Research - Identifies issues or problems and researches solutions within specific administrative areas, providing proactive support

Physical Requirements:
Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and Moving objects up to 50 pounds. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
