Position Overview
This position assists the dean of the School of Business by being the face of the School in receiving guests in person, on the phone, and through electronic communications. This role is a vital team player in strategic functions, faculty management support, curriculum and student management support, and guiding marketing and communications from this School of Business Dean's Office.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's and one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of general office procedures and practices. Knowledge of University policies and procedures related to the area of assignment. Skill in making mathematical calculations and computations. Ability to keep complex records; to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work without close supervision. Knowledge of safe working procedures related to work performed.

A bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited university.

Job Duties
- Strategic: Extend professional greetings to School of Business guests with professionalism.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the Faculty Matrix.
- Direct all budgetary decisions to the dean or other assigned individuals.
- Assist in organizing School of Business events. - Establish and manage a calendar for the School of Business events.
- Manage the dean’s calendar.
- Oversee and manage student worker.
- Foster open and transparent communication with the Dean’s Office, providing timely updates on matters affecting the program, students, and faculty.
- Meets at least twice a month with the dean to provide updates on the School of Business.
- Communicate office needs to the dean. Serve as a voice for all non-faculty personnel in the School of Business.
- Represent the School of Business in internal academic events - Exhibit interpersonal relations that foster a professional working atmosphere.
- Proficiency in office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dean.
- Faculty Management: Support full-time faculty development: Directs course-related matters to the dean or program coordinator and assists as requested.
- Support adjunct faculty development: Assist with onboarding, training, and coordinating the submission of faculty evaluations and assessments. Directs course-related matters to the dean or program coordinator and assists as requested.
- Curriculum and Student Management: Assist with forms and documents as assigned by the School of Business.
- Notify the dean, assistant dean, and program coordinators of exceptions within audit rolls. Work collaboratively with faculty to ensure completion. Review School of Business compliance with state legislation (e.g., HB 2504) and notify the dean and associate dean by the fifth day of the semester.
- Maintain the confidentiality of student and personnel matters. Marketing and Communications: Coordinate marketing efforts for the School of Business.
- Monitor business@untdallas.edu, businesdean@untdallas.edu, and businessforms@untdallas.edu emails to ensure timely correspondence and replies to inquiries.
- Draft official notes and minutes for all School of Business meetings, committees, and advisory boards for the dean’s review.
- Plan and implement logistics of School of Business events (marketing, reservations, invitations, room set up, etc.) - Open, sort, and distribute incoming School of Business correspondence, including faxes and email. Distribute correspondence to appropriate faculty and staff.
- Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
- Ensure all directory information (print and electronic) and office signage is current.
- Manage School of Business social media content.
- Ensures all marketing materials (print and electronic) are current and up to date. Works with School of Business leadership to manage and update the marketing materials.
