Department Summary
UNT Health is the academic clinical practice of the University of North Texas Fort Worth campus, where quality care meets quality education.
UNT Health primary and multispecialty care offices are located on the UNT Health Fort Worth, Denton and Dallas UNT System campuses, focusing on improving health outcomes to build healthier communities.
Care includes mobile health initiatives and extends to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term/continuing care centers, and in-home care.
UNT Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient.
Physicians, neurologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, nurses and more work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.

Position Overview
The Supervisor of Clinical Operations is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the clinical operations department. This includes staff supervision, development and implementation of policies and procedures, staff development, and coordination with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. The Supervisor, Clinical Operations, collaborates with the Clinical Manager of Operations to ensure consistent communication between clinics and departments.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to provide team leadership to coordinate, oversee, and monitor clinical scheduling, clinical operations Must be computer literate and technologically competent to communicate in written and electronic media at all levels within a health care organization Knowledge and demonstrated capability of using clinical scheduling software, electronic medical record systems, and Microsoft Office software applications Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks Ability to respond to Clinical Operations Team member questions, concerns, and oversee team work assignments for quality and policy compliance Ability to provide quality customer service, including interacting with clients, responding to inquiries and effectively handling clinical operation issues and concerns Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an effective and efficient manner while meeting all required deadlines

Job Duties
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the medical practice office.
- Supervise the activities of the support staff, including front desk registration, medical assistants for assigned clinics or clinical teams
- Manage the clinical schedule of the clinicians within the practice management system, to support clinic objectives and scheduling targets
- Assure that insurance, billing and collection activities are performed accurately and timely for the practice office.
- Coordinate with other HSC offices/departments to meet practice goals and objectives.
