Department Summary
The Business Data Analyst is responsible for assisting with design, delivery, and maintenance of data, working closely with the college to build and enhance methods of reporting. They will perform data analytics in order to improve system set-up, functions, and accuracy. This role is tasked with collecting, processing, and analyzing how data can be used to discover important insights that can improve efficiency or solve problems.

Position Overview
The College of Pharmacy was established in 2011 and is part of the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth (UNTHSC). Other colleges at UNTHSC include the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Public Health, College of Health Professions, College of Biological and Translational Sciences, and the College of Nursing. Located in the Fort Worth cultural district, the University of North Texas Health Science Center is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University currently enrolls 2,700 graduate students who are pursuing degrees in medicine, bio-medical sciences, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, nutrition, lifestyle health, and public health. The University is well-positioned for rapid expansion, matching the growing population and economic vitality of the DFW Metroplex.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability, to analyze data, including numerical detail, identify patterns or trends, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to present various data in clear concise forms to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain Data Dashboards and reports.
- Skills in data management, querying and manipulation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and one year of related experience; Or any equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties
- Implement reports, scorecards, and dashboards (x%).
- Provide data analysis insights for leadership.
- Create, maintain, and enhance queries for regular reporting and analytics.
- Coordinate and maintain data integrity and validation across data systems and applications while ensuring compliance with data processes.
- Use statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports and models to inform and support decision making.
- Use technology to control and safeguard the collection, organization, structure, processing, and delivery of data.
- Analyze data to develop and assist with the dissemination of reports as requested by leadership including faculty-specific. departmental school institution all and system-wide that will guide decisions in the organization.
- Develop ad hoc reports as needed to support institutional initiatives and requirements.
