Department Summary
The Toulouse Graduate School within the Division of Research & Innovation promotes and supports graduate student education by overseeing graduate student programs, professional development, and graduate student research engagement. TGS collaborates with departments in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment services to support and enhance the UNT graduate student experience and help students succeed both academically and in their future careers.

Position Overview
The Toulouse Graduate School unit is seeking to hire a part-time, Non-student Hourly Graduate Student & Program Specialist to assist their team. This position serves as support staff for degree plan processing, updating/verification, and graduation of all master's and doctoral students at the University of North Texas. The position provides customer service to UNT faculty, staff, and graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications
Office administration work experience, and experience utilizing Microsoft Office software applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to take direction and be self-reliant. Must be professional and very comfortable assisting individuals over the phone or in person. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service. Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communications. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability handle multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UNT's PeopleSoft Enterprise Information System (EIS) - Student Information System module.

Job Duties
- Assist with incoming emails and responses, fielding questions from students, departments, faculty, and Toulouse Graduate School front desk.
- Assist with checking-in of master's and doctoral degree plans, degree plan changes, revised degree plans, part-time enrollment requests, committee forms, qualifying exam results, leave of absence and time extension requests.
- Data entry into Enterprise Information System (EIS) software.
- Reviewing and processing miscellaneous student forms received. Monitor electronic form submission activity.
- Assist with gathering records and updating information for graduation application evaluations for master's and doctoral candidates.
- Assist with contacting departments/advisors regarding student graduation issues, graduate commencement/ceremony preparation and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

- No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Work Schedule
Part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Monday - Friday.
