Position Overview
Through guidance from the Chief Compliance Officer, this position leads policy and regulation development for UNT Dallas in collaboration with departments. It helps set strategic priorities for the policy program, ensuring policies remain current and effective. Responsibilities include researching, drafting, editing, coordinating, and evaluating policies, as well as managing the tools and processes used to track approvals, implement changes, and communicate updates.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree, Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in which policy development and/or management in the public sector – preferably within higher education – was a primary responsibility, and experience or education that includes exposure to legal or regulatory environments.

Job Duties
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the development and revision of UNT Dallas policies and regulations.
- Partners with subject matter experts, administrators, Office of General Counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure all policies and regulations meet UNT Dallas standards, maintain consistency in format and language, and do not conflict with or duplicate existing policies.
- Collaborate with Chief Compliance Officer and policy administrators across other UNT institutions to support alignment, reduce policy redundancy, and resolve potential conflicts.
- In consultation with UNT Dallas Chief Compliance Officer, establishes and monitors timelines, milestones, and deadlines for the drafting, review, approval, and implementation of policies and regulations.
- Provides status updates, reporting, and documentation to UNT Dallas Chief Compliance Officer, stakeholders, and other interested parties to ensure transparency throughout the policy process.
- Administers and maintains the policy website and centralized policy management platform to ensure accessibility and version control.
- Maintains an organized historical archive of current and retired UNT Dallas Policies to support institutional memory and audit readiness.
- Develop materials to support the rollout and awareness of new or revised policies across UNT Dallas.
- Supports compliance and audit readiness by coordinating documentation and tracking of policy exceptions, interpretations, and approvals.
- Assist in ensuring alignment of campus-level policies with System-wide policies.
