Department Summary
College of Nursing joins five other colleges and schools offering degree programs at UNT Health: the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Public Health, School of Health Professions and College of Pharmacy. The College of Nursing is addressing the shortage of nurses in Texas, which has the second-fewest nurses per capita in the U.S.

Position Overview
The UNT Health College of Nursing is seeking a Business Coordinator to support the Office of the Dean. This role serves as a key administrative partner to the Dean’s Office team and provides coordination and operational support across faculty and staff hiring, on-boarding and off‑boarding, event planning, interview coordination, travel and expense processing, calendar management, and project coordination to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively within an executive or Dean’s Office environment.
- Ability to work independently, determine priorities, and make appropriate decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be self sufficient and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities related to hiring timelines, events, and travel deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate complex processes involving multiple stakeholders, including faculty searches, candidate interviews, and on-boarding schedules.

Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison between the College of Nursing, Human Resources, and faculty affairs coordinating faculty and staff hiring processes, including posting positions, on-boarding and off‑boarding activities, documentation, and timelines.
- Coordinate faculty and staff search logistics, including scheduling candidate interviews, preparing interview itineraries, arranging meetings, and supporting on campus and virtual interview processes.
- Develop and implement office procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Support the Academic Program Manager by scheduling classroom and educational space.
- Make travel arrangements and help with travel reports for assigned delegates.
- Develop, document, and implement office procedures that support efficient office operations, onboarding workflows, and internal coordination.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for Dean’s Office led events, meetings, and special initiatives, including planning, scheduling, space coordination, materials preparation, and follow‑up.
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- Prepare agendas and make arrangements for on-campus interviews and meetings.
- Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals. Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties to take messages.
- Attend meetings to record minutes.
- Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
