Department Summary
The Dean’s Office in the College of Science at the University of North Texas (UNT) serves as the central hub for academic leadership, strategic planning, and institutional coordination across the college’s departments.

Position Overview
This new and evolving Senior Administrative Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity to build a new level of coordination for the College of Science Associate Deans. The position supports the Associate Dean of Research & Graduate Studies (ADR), Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, and Associate Dean of the School for Math & Science Foundations (SMSF).
Reporting through the Dean’s Executive Assistant, this role is formally supervised by the Dean’s Office and supports the day to day priorities of the Associate Deans. This position provides advanced administrative support, budget oversight, and serves as a liaison for strategic coordination within the college and with key leadership offices across UNT.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Advanced written communication skills. * Advanced Microsoft Office skills. * Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. * Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. * Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. * Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. * Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. * Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. * Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function. * Supervisory skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Candidates with experience navigating UNT processes and commonly used administrative and academic systems are strongly preferred. • Experience as Office Manager/Administrative Assistant in a Higher Education environment

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties
Management of the emerging administrative needs of the new SMSF, including administrative support for faculty reorganization and supplemental compensation, changes to course scheduling, and other strategic coordination within COS, with LEEF/Teaching Hub, and with other key leadership offices at UNT.
Executive administrative support. This varies by office but includes scheduling meetings, purchasing, correspondence, travel coordination and expense reimbursement, and assisting with special projects.
·Management and reporting of various strategic initiatives in support of COS, under the direction of the Dean's Office.
·Oversees the operating budgets for the SMSF and ADR offices, including managing ADR F&A revenue, expenses, and commitments.
