Within the Office of Educational Programs, the TCOM Office of Medical Student Success (OMSS) provides a student-centered environment focused on advising, career development, enrichment, and milestone events that support students’ academic, professional, and personal growth. Through its core areas, Advisory Colleges, Career Development, Enrichment, and Student Events, OMSS fosters mentorship, professional identity development, and community.

Position Overview
TCOM Office of Medical Student Success (OMSS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Enrichment Student Navigator to support enrichment initiatives and assist students in the Med Excel retention program throughout all aspects of their educational journey. Within this context, the Enrichment Student Navigator coordinates structured leadership development activities, serves as a liaison to faculty, staff, and administrators, and facilitates cohort participation in institutional programming. In collaboration with OMSS and the Office of Educational Programs, this position contributes to academic success, professional identity formation, and student engagement while supporting the coordination and delivery of assigned components of the medical curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Manages time and multiple projects. Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of reporting. Skilled data entry.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in higher education, working with graduate level degree programs.
- Proficiency with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.
- Experience coordinating course logistics, exams, or academic events.
- Experience working directly with faculty and instructors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Duties
- Coordinate and provide real-time support for in-person and virtual workshops, curricular sessions, and student success programming aligned with OMSS and Educational Programs priorities.
- Lead pre-cohort preparation, including scheduling, onboarding processes, materials development, and communication plans.
- Manage student onboarding and maintain consistent communication throughout the program lifecycle.
- Coordinate certification exams, accommodations, and remediation/retake processes in collaboration with academic and student support units.
- Oversee post-program activities including grading coordination, reporting, and program closeout.
- Maintain and update Learning Management System (LMS) content and student records in alignment with Office of Educational Programs processes.
- Collaborate closely with OMSS functional areas (Advisory Colleges, Career Development, Enrichment, and Student Events) to support a coordinated, longitudinal student success experience.
- Partner with the Office of Educational Programs to ensure alignment between student support efforts and curricular milestones.
- Collaborate with UNT Health’s Division of Student Affairs (DSA) for Enrichment initiatives.
- Develop and distribute communications and marketing materials supporting student success initiatives.
- Support programming that promotes professionalism, wellness, and professional identity formation within learning communities.
- Assist in developing strategies to maintain student engagement throughout the academic year.
- Support operational priorities of both OMSS and the Office of Educational Programs, ensuring alignment between student success initiatives and curriculum delivery.
- Support systems such as the Teaching Assignment Management System (TAMS). Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, some nights and weekends. This position is primarily onsite, with occasional opportunities for remote work as needed.
