Department Summary
The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is excited to announce the formation of its College of Nursing. This new college will help address the shortage of nurses in Texas, which has the second-fewest nurses per capita in the U.S.

Position Overview
The Senior Student Success Coach in the College of Nursing (CON) reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and plays a leadership role in supporting nursing students’ academic, professional, and personal development from enrollment through graduation. The position collects and analyzes data for reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and the Program Track Coordinators. In addition to serving as a proactive mentor, advisor, and advocate for students, the Senior Student Success Coach coordinates, plans, and executes award/recognition ceremonies and student receptions every semester following timelines and guidance from the Provost’s SOP as applicable. The position develops, implements, and evaluates student success programing in collaboration with other student success coaches and academic leaders. This position will be located on the UNT Dallas extended campus effective Fall 2027.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and activities.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, with varying deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complicated and simplified concepts to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree preferred
- 2 years experience in academic coaching

Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Student Success programming in collaboration with other CON Student Success Coaches and Academic Leadership.
- Monitor academic progress and proactively intervene with students identified as at-risk through early alert systems or faculty referrals for connection to resources and risk mitigating interventions.
- Communicate regularly with the Assistant Dean for Student Success regarding trends, concerns, and outcomes.
- Collaborate on budgets and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of award/recognition ceremonies and student receptions every semester for CON students.
- Collaborate with academic leaders in the development of degree plan changes and interpretation of CON procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the college, students, and campus partners.
- Support the recruitment of College of Nursing students through partnerships with Admissions and Recruitment and participation in A&R sponsored events as needed.
- Coordinate calling and outreach campaigns for in-progress applicants and newly admitted students for all CON application cycles.
- Analyze and report data to Assistant Dean of Student Success and program track coordinators.
