Department Summary
The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is excited to announce the formation of its College of Nursing. This new college will help address the shortage of nurses in Texas, which has the second-fewest nurses per capita in the U.S.

Position Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the academic program within the College of Nursing specific to the UNT Health campus in Dallas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the academic programs, supporting the Assistant Dean for the Extended Campus, supporting student success, and fostering faculty collaboration. The Academic Program Manager creates a supportive and transformative academic environment, implements student and faculty-centric initiatives, and ensures the overall quality of the program.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and data to implement appropriate solutions, and create assessment reports.
- Detail and service oriented.
- Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and projects.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office Suite: primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work well in a values driven, team environment.

Job Duties
- Responsible for managing and assisting the Assistant Dean for Extended Campus and Faculty with the following: scheduling essential meetings, calendar assistance, room scheduling, create, update and manage faculty & student cohort listservs, track degree plans and student cohort data, work orders, and completing student roster for students per cohort.
- Supports academic programs by scheduling meetings and taking and disseminating meeting minutes.
- Schedules classroom and educational space for programs.
- Collaborates with Clinical Affairs Project Manager in clinical compliance, clinical affiliation agreements and clinical site placements.
- Prepares course scheduling for each academic semester for all College of Nursing courses.
- Create and manage on-line platforms (Teaching Assignment and Management Software) by updating course schedules and uploading faculty workload assignments.
- Responsible for collaborating with the Teaching Assignment and Management Software (TAMS) system manager and contact.
- Responsible for being the academic vendors and publishers contact and liaison, coordinates meeting, and ad hoc committee member.
- Provides documentation assistance for accreditation.
- Collaborates with Program Manager for Accreditation.
- Creates and disseminates student and faculty surveys as needed.
- Assists with organization and upkeep of College of Nursing (CON) Organization Teams folder.
- Other duties as assigned.
