Department Summary
The Office of University Advancement at the University of North Texas at Dallas is dedicated to advancing the university’s mission through philanthropy, alumni and community engagement, strategic partnerships, marketing, and communications. The department works closely with donors, alumni, corporate partners, foundations, and community stakeholders to cultivate relationships, secure financial support, and provide stewardship that enhances student success, academic excellence, scholarships, and institutional growth. University Advancement also leads efforts to promote the university’s achievements, strengthen its brand, and increase visibility through strategic marketing and communications initiatives. Position Overview
The Advancement Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and project support to the Vice President for Advancement and the University Advancement team. This role supports executive scheduling, communications, budget tracking, meeting preparation, donor and alumni engagement activities, advancement events, and project coordination to help advance the mission and priorities of UNT Dallas.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or four years of related professional experience.

Job Duties
- Provides direct administrative support to the Vice President for Advancement, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, travel, expense processing, file organization, and preparation for meetings.
- Supports University Advancement priorities by tracking deadlines, action items, project timelines, meeting notes, follow-up items, and key deliverables across fundraising, alumni engagement, donor relations, events, and advancement services.
- Assists with preparation of briefing materials, reports, presentations, agendas, donor correspondence, internal communications, and other materials for the Vice President and Advancement team.
- Supports budget monitoring, procurement, payment processing, expenditure tracking, and reconciliation of division-related expenses in coordination with university finance and administrative offices.
- Provides event and engagement support, including invitation and RSVP tracking, guest lists, vendor coordination, logistics, briefing materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
- Assists with advancement operations, including donor and gift-related communications, acknowledgment letters, donor documentation, basic prospect research, records updates, shared files, and other administrative or project-related needs.
