Department Summary
The College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism is centered on the world’s largest consumer-focused industries—Hospitality and Retail. An education from our nationally ranked and accredited programs blends opportunities for students to work with world-class research faculty as well as meet industry professionals who serve as guest lecturers, project mentors, and internship supervisors. Position Overview
Provide support to all CMHT faculty and staff. Manage virtual calls/meetings/webinars for CMHT. Manage technology used in CMHT classrooms, which include laptops and printers. Manage CMHT IT student workers.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in related field and two years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
|

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department. * Basic knowledge of principles of computing and communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environment. * Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware. * Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Strong computer skills needed. Ability to install operating systems and software on CMHT class laptops. Excellent organization skills. Strong written skills needed for documentation of processes. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties
- Provide IT support to all CMHT faculty and staff
- Manage CMHT ticketing queue
- Install, monitor, and maintain instructional and class related software on CMHT classroom laptops and Virtual CMHT lab.
- Manage virtual calls/meetings/webinars for CMHT.
- Hire, train and manage CMHT Classroom Technology Assistant.
- Create laptop charging/maintenance schedules every semester
- Image classroom laptops and keep up to date on latest security standards
- Supervise cardswipe activities at CMHT student events, Student advising, Career Expo, GDRRC
- Symposium, EIR; analyze data and report to faculty
- Completes ongoing training and skill development in areas of responsibility
- Provide support, consultation and training to CMHT students and faculty on computer hardware and software technologies

Physical Requirements
Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and Moving objects up to 50 pounds. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
