Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Finance Professor. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus.

Qualifications:  A terminal degree (D.B.A. or Ph.D.) preferred; minimum requirements include an MBA or related degree from an accredited institution and eighteen (18) graduate hours in Finance with an additional eighteen (18) graduate hours in another Business discipline such as Economics or Analytical subjects. Preference will be given to candidates who have professional certifications and the credit hours and flexibility to teach multiple subjects within the Business disciplines. Candidates with some industry-related experience is preferred. 

We seek scholars who can support the current Finance and Business curriculum and potentially build unique course offerings to prepare students for careers in the evolving Finance industry. The teaching load is based on the number of student credit hours needed to be fulfilled for 9-month or 12-month faculty. Candidates will also be required to review and update curriculum for teaching on-campus or on-line.

The candidate will teach specific course assignments including, but not limited to investments, financial markets, corporate finance, risk management, statistical courses, entrepreneurship, operations management, economics, and other more technical content. Evidence of successful teaching at the university level is preferred. Instruction will take place both in-person and online. Candidates will be asked to teach a combination of Finance and other Business courses. Candidates will grade papers, hold office hours, and serve on committees as directed by the Department Chair.

Expectations include 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate-level courses; 4) familiarity with online instructional technology; and 5) a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
