The Director of Career Services will lead and direct all aspects of the Career Services operations, ensuring alignment with CSH philosophy of student development, student life mission, and the University's strategic goals. This position will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive career services for students and alumni to enhance their employment opportunities and career readiness.

Essential duties:

  • Direct the strategic planning, development, and implementation of career services, ensuring innovative and effective programming that meets the needs of a diverse student body, including a significant number of non-traditional online learners.
  • Build and maintain robust employer partnerships to expand internship, employment, and networking opportunities for students and alumni.
  • Provide high-caliber leadership to the career services team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and excellence in service and program delivery.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of a wide range of career development programs and services, including career counseling, workshops, and job fairs tailored to support students at various stages of their career journey.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of career services while using data to drive continuous improvement and report on outcomes as required.
  • Establish and/or refine career services policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and manage the Career Services budget to ensure good business stewardship of resources in support of department goals.
  • Leverage general and Career Services related technology to effectively serve online and on-campus populations.
  • Research, propose, and implement Career Services' innovative practices and emerging trends to support student and alumni career success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Career Services leadership position or related experience
  • Experience in building key stakeholder relationships, and coaching students, alumni, and others in vocational exploration, attainment, and growth preferred
