Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate bi-weekly reading/literacy program
• Collaborate with the supervisor to determine the optimal library reading and literacy activities for elementary-aged students
• Research appropriate reading materials for the elementary age group that reflect Regent University’s values
• Create and deliver interactive reading and literacy experiences with children
• Design and develop engaging educational content for elementary-aged children that aligns with Regent University's values and mission

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of instruction experience required
• Ability to handle, maintain attendance, and feedback records with accuracy and orderliness
• Ability to convey reading and literacy instructions in a pleasant, empathetic, and confident manner
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions
• Ability to give attention to detail
