Essential duties:
- Manage School of Education (SOE) Course Schedule: Coordinate and oversee the SOE course schedule each semester by reviewing proposed schedules, communicating with the registrar and Associate Dean to assign instructors, and submitting necessary forms such as course rotation and course build requests. Prepare reports on enrollment and course offerings to support planning and decision-making.
- Oversee Textbook Adoption: Manage the textbook adoption process by submitting required booklists via the BNC portal each semester. Regularly review and update course materials by removing out-of-print or outdated titles, coordinating with instructors and bookstore staff to address issues and needed adjustments, and ordering desk copies for faculty as required.
- Manage Dissertation Registration: Oversee the official registration process for students enrolling in their dissertation course. Ensure accurate documentation of registration records, approvals, and forms. Act as the primary point of contact for students and faculty concerning dissertation registration procedures, updates, and communication of registration-related issues.
- Provide Administrative Support to the School of Education: Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings. Manage correspondence through emails, phone calls, and mail. Handle procurement of office supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operational functioning.
- Assist with Special Projects: Maintain the accuracy and visual appeal of SOE bulletin boards. Support the organization of SOE events and Commissioning Ceremony. Contribute to social media outreach efforts and assist with other duties as assigned by the Dean’s Office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
Candidates must have:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Banner, Canvas and Cognos training preferred
