Major Function/Purpose of Position: Provides customer service and skilled academic records support in the Registrar’s Office. Responsible for the performance of a variety of duties related to the accuracy, maintenance, security and validation of student records, which includes research as necessary.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Essential duties:
- Provide customer service, phone coverage, backup to the front desk, and general information relating to academic forms, schedules, policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update student records in Banner to include international and conditionally accepted student record updates.
- Process academic forms such as status changes, record updates, change of field of study, and so forth.
- Process electronic requests such as add/drop forms, withdrawal from the university requests, change of campus, and so forth.
- Communicate with schools and departments to resolve student record concerns.
- Assist other staff at peak times and perform other duties as specified by direct supervisor or Registrar.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
- Data entry experience required
- Banner experience preferred
- Familiarity with basic research skills required
