Operations & Communications Coordinator — Center for Global Justice

Regent University School of Law | Part-Time, 20 hrs/week | 12-month position

About the Center:

The Center for Global Justice (CGJ) at Regent University School of Law advances human rights through legal advocacy, education, and research. CGJ programs include Virginia's only pro bono Human Trafficking Legal Clinic, international and domestic internship programs, student staff initiatives, legislative engagement, and strategic partnerships with organizations worldwide.

Position Overview:

The CGJ is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven individual to support the day-to-day administrative operations of the Center and its Human Trafficking Legal Clinic. This role is the operational backbone of the CGJ — keeping events running, communications flowing, and logistics organized so that the legal and programmatic team can focus on casework and advocacy.

This is an on-campus position based in the Regent University School of Law building. The coordinator works alongside law students, faculty, and staff, and participates in the broader life of the law school community, including weekly Law Chapel on Thursdays. There are occasional opportunities to participate in clinic-related activities such as legislative advocacy in Richmond or attending court hearings — offering a front-row seat to the real-world impact of CGJ's work.

Responsibilities:

  • Events & Programming Coordinate logistics for CGJ events including Lunch and Learns, orientation sessions, symposia, and community programming — managing room reservations, food orders, flyers, registration, and day-of execution.
  • Internship & Student Staff Logistics Support administrative processes for CGJ's student staff, summer intern grant program, Regent Fellows, and Handong internship program, including application tracking, onboarding coordination, and document management.
  • Communications & Marketing Draft and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) using Hootsuite; assist with quarterly newsletters through Virtuous; maintain and update the CGJ website via WordPress; and support production of marketing materials through Canva.
  • Office & Financial Administration Manage office supply ordering, expense report preparation, credit card reconciliation, and donor acknowledgment coordination in partnership with Advancement.
  • Data & Records Management Maintain CGJ databases, M drive files, and reporting spreadsheets; track clinic training stats, course enrollment, and student staff records.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to adhere to agreed-upon work schedules, including some early morning and/or weekend hours.
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with or aptitude for social media, marketing, and digital tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with WordPress, Canva, or Hootsuite a plus
  • Ability to interact with vulnerable populations with professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion
  • Commitment to strict confidentiality in a legal clinic environment
  • Alignment with CGJ's mission and values
  • Commitment to Regent’s core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity

More about the Center: For a deeper dive, Director Kelsey recently presented on "The Church and the Academy in the Mission of God" March 23, 2026

" The Center for Global Justice (CGJ) at Regent University School of Law was founded on the call of Proverbs 31:8–9 — to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and defend the rights of the poor and needy. Rooted in the conviction that the academy is not separate from the Church's mission but one of its key instruments, the CGJ exists at the threshold: academically rigorous, but unwilling to remain above the fray."
