About the role

TAFE NSW are seeking an Education Support Officer to work within the Automotive section based at the Coffs Harbour Campus. The role is responsible for providing support to learners studying Automotive (Light, Heavy Vehicle Mechanical and Automotive Electrical) courses as advised by a teacher! 

In the role, you will work closely to supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement.

Travel may be required within this role assisting at the Grafton Campus.

About You

To be successful in this position you must:

1. Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications such as the Certificate III in:

  • Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical or
  • Automotive Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or
  • Automotive Electrical

2. Crucial to the role will be your high-level interpersonal and communication skills, including your ability to be proactive and show initiative.
3. Meet all the selection criteria in the below position description. 

Highly Desirable include:

  • Forklift Licence
  • First Aid certificate
