About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Auslan students across the NSW region.  This is a casual opportunity with flexible hours!  Please tick your preferred campus in the Application Form.

The Auslan Teacher will be delivering accredited and non-accredited training to a diverse range of students. 

You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry expertise, knowledge and lived experiences with your students. You are motivated to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic teaching team and are committed to building the skills of students. With the ability to keep an audience engaged you are also patient and flexible in your approach and able to create a learning environment that is supportive, stimulating and fosters independence.

About You 

To be successful in the role you will have:

1. Auslan qualifications or ability to demonstrate relevant competency.

2. Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.

3. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details

4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
