$215,248.29 Package includes salary ($190,978.00), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

This is an exciting role in the TAFE NSW Corporate Communications leadership team. The Principal Manager, Media and Communications deputises for the Director, uses data to drive continuous improvement, and helps position TAFE NSW with key stakeholders.

About You 

To be successful in this role you’ll have a track record managing contentious media issues, and you’ll be comfortable working closely with Ministerial Media Advisors. Experience spanning both internal and external communications in either the Government sector, or a regulated industry will be highly regarded. This is a 2IC position, so you must be adept at working closely with senior leaders. You’ll be energised by fast-paced working environments.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading complex internal and external communications projects, and conceptualising solutions to communications problems.
  • Developing continuous improvement strategies to drive campaign effectiveness and improve the team’s communications practice.
  • Managing commercial contracts to meet performance requirements.
  • Crafting and implementing communications plans that align with the TAFE NSW Strategic Plan, and the Corporate Communications Strategy.
  • Producing high-quality written materials including effective media statements and speeches.
  • Providing a small team with day-to-day leadership, direction, and guidance.
