 Temporary Full-time until June 2028

 $178,647.30 package includes salary ($158,152.00), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The TAFE NSW Manufacturing Centres of Excellence (MCoE), are National Centres of Excellence, a joint initiative between the Australian Government and NSW Government under the National Skills Agreement.

MCoEs are an innovative education model to tackle the manufacturing skills challenge for NSW and Australia. Located in Western Sydney, the Hunter, and the Illawarra, each centre specialises in different areas. These include advanced manufacturing with robotics and 3D printing, supporting clean energy in net zero manufacturing and sustainable manufacturing practices, supporting the heavy manufacturing industry, and supporting new and existing workforce build the skills they need for the future.

By partnering with other CoEs, TAFES, universities, and industry, these nationally networked centres ensure training aligns with real-world job requirements. The MCoEs offer short courses, microskills, and will soon deliver higher apprenticeships to help individuals become job-ready or enhance their skills for future opportunities.

About the role

This role involves leading, managing, and coordinating the implementation and performance of assigned MCoE contracts. You will ensure consistent delivery, high performance, and compliance with contractual obligations. Additionally, optimise contract performance and value, and build productive professional stakeholder relationships related to the establishment and delivery of the contracts.

In this position, you will also make decisions on complex and sensitive issues by analysing alternative courses of action and their implications on achieving organisational objectives and strategies. You will manage functional expenditure and resourcing within relevant policy and delegation frameworks.

The successful candidate must be willing to travel regionally as required to the three MCoE campuses at Newcastle, Wetherill Park and Wollongong.

About You 

You will posses strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage in strategic discussions to ensure exceptional customer support and adherence to compliance processes and policies. By building trusting relationships and taking initiative, you will champion the customer experience and significantly contribute to our shared success.

 To be successful in this role you will have:

 A Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a diverse range of contracts to achieve and maintain high performance standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience implementing robust contract management governance systems and continuous improvement strategies.

Highly Regarded: 

  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships, including managing contentious interactions with professionalism and strategic communication.
  • Experience overseeing contracts within a professional services environment, ensuring milestone-based deliverables are met effectively.
