We are also building a Talent Pool for another Permanent Part Time position, 3 days per week.

$108,057 package includes salary ($95,630-$113,411), employer's superannuation and annual leave loading (pro rata)

About the role

We are seeking outstanding educators to inspire and mentor the next generation of Marine Engineering students. This is a permanent part-time role, where you will be required to work 2 days per week at our Tighes Hill Campus. Some local travel will be required. We are also building a Talent Pool for another Permanent Part Time position, 3 days per week.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive industry experience, and you will have proven experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment. This is your chance to build the skills, qualifications, and employability of our students, and support their career goals.

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold a minimum AMSA Marine Engineer Driver (MED) 2 Certificate of Competency.
  • In addition to the abovementioned minimum qualification, it would be desirable (not essential) if you held a qualification in any Engineering, Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical trades field.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

Highly Desirable

  • AMSA Engineer Watchkeeper' Certificate of Competency or higher.
