Base salary of $119,757 - $132,188 per annum plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Senior Identity Engineer is responsible for responsible for planning, designing and continuously evaluating and improving systems, processes and protocols relating to identity management. Supporting the Identity Lead, the position is involved in maintaining the identity management services for TAFE NSW.

About You 

In this role, you will analyse, interpret, and present data related to Identity and Access Management (IAM) activities, security metrics, and governance. You will provide guidance on identity management systems to maintain, monitor, and enhance IAM services for TAFE NSW. Additionally, you will install, configure, and manage IAM software and tools, ensuring the continuous sustainability and optimization of IAM processes.

You will have strong understanding of both data analytics and identity management concepts to support compliance, security monitoring, and operational improvements as well as proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and integration purposes.

Highly Regarded

  1. Demonstrated experience in effectively designing, implementing, managing and supporting complex Identity & Access Management Solutions in an enterprise environment.
  2. Hands-on experience with IAM platforms and tools (e.g., Oracle, SailPoint IdentityNow, EntraID/Azure AD, Ping Identity).
  3. Knowledge of IAM principles, identity protocols and standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP etc.
  4. Proficiency in Scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and integration purposes.
  5. Strong understanding of security principles, secure authentication & authorisation methods.
