12 months Temporary Full-Time role

Total Remuneration Package $236,474 includes base salary $210,015 plus superannuation and leave loading.

About the role

Reporting to the Director Strategy & Architecture within our Digital Solutions Group, the Associate Director Data Services will be responsible for managing and driving the development and implementation of data sciences, analytics, business intelligence and reporting services to be used across TAFE NSW. This includes the design, provisioning, continuous improvement and management of data services to leverage data features and underpin the analytical needs of business across the whole of the Systems Group architecture.

This is a 12-month temporary full-time role and available from 15 September 2025.

About You 

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and a dynamic team and enjoy supporting and regularly interfacing with senior and executive level management. You have strong communication, stakeholder and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate team members and drive contemporary ways of working through periods of change. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:- 

  1. Degree qualification in Systems Group and or relevant experience in an information/ data/ records, Master Data Management or similar role.
  2. Understanding of modern micro service architecture and master data management practices
  3. Extensive knowledge and skill in leading, developing and implementing enterprise information and data management frameworks within a diverse and complex organisational environment.
  4. Significant strategic, analytical, planning, conceptual and advisory skills in translating business direction and initiatives into data and information strategies and services within a complex organisational environment.
  5. Proven ability to comply with legislation and policy as directed by strategy and architecture to underpin the TAFE NSW Systems Group data and information management framework.
  6. Ability to interpret enterprise architectures

Highly Regarded

  • Prior experience and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and services, including any formal qualifications in AI
  • Proven experience in managing large data cloud environment
  • Prior experience in building Modern data services environment
