Permanent Part-Time Part-Year (32 hours per week for 41 weeks per year)

Base Salary of $66,212 - $73,085 p.a. plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Assistant where you will actively support teaching staff in delivering assessments, training, and practical tasks. Prepare materials and equipment to enhance educational delivery, maintain tools and facilities, and ensure compliance with Work, Health, and Safety standards. Bring your proven experience carrying out work in relation to Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) equipment including: decanting the refrigerant or manufacturing, installing, commissioning, servicing or maintaining RAC equipment or decommissioning RAC equipment.

About You

Bring your passion for the refrigeration and electrotechnology industry and strong organisational skills to our team. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, paired with excellent customer service, will ensure success in this dynamic role.

Essential requirements as follows:

  • Trade qualifications in either Refrigeration, Electronics or Electrical and/or relevant industry experience
  • Experience in maintaining stores and electrical equipment
  • Ability to service, clean, repair, and operate workshop machinery
  • Practical, administrative, and computer skills for maintenance and record-keeping
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment, the following:
    • Valid Working with Children Check
    • First aid certificate
    • Forklift license
    • Electrical tag and test certificate

Highly Desirable

  • Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARC Licence)
