Technical Assistant of Animal Care
Location: Wyong (Travel will be required)
Permanent Part Time – 17.5 hours per week
$80,502 – $88,860 salary package - includes base salary ($70,926 - $78,289), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro-rata)

About the role
As a Technical Assistant of Animal Care, you will be responsible for providing the husbandry and welfare needs of the on-site animals. You will also support in the preparation of materials and equipment to support educational delivery and ensure the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds within the Animal Care teaching section.
This is a permanent part time position based at Wyong Campus, requiring you to work 17.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend work may be required. Travel will be required to Gosford, Wyong, Belmont, Glendale, and Newcastle campuses.

We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing husbandry and care for a wide range of species.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and correctly operate equipment.
- Knowledge of safe storage, handling and use of chemicals and veterinary equipment.
- Experience in store procedures and stock control.
- Class C driver’s licence.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
Highly Desirable
- Hold a Certificate II in Animal Care or higher.
