$91,081 – $100,536 salary package - includes base salary ($80,246 - $88,576), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
The AMEP Volunteer Tutor Scheme Placement Officer is responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of administrative functions that support the effective operation of the Volunteer Tutor Scheme program.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines, consistently producing work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to provide regular updates to the line manager and clearly convey information to clients and volunteers. The role also requires well-developed critical thinking skills to assess situations and make sound, informed decisions.
In this role, you will provide clear information about the Volunteer Tutor Scheme to prospective volunteers and clients to support program promotion and engagement, while coordinating administrative processes required to establish volunteer–client matches, including compliance checks and documentation. You will monitor and support ongoing matches to ensure quality and adherence to guidelines and maintain accurate records of attendance and program activity. The role also involves responding to enquiries and resolving routine issues in a timely, professional manner, with appropriate escalation and documentation in line with organisational policies.
We currently have a temporary full-time role till December 2026 with a possibility of extension. However this recruitment will also be used to create a Talent Pool (valid for 18 months) that maybe used to fill temporary and permanent positions in future as required. About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
- Experience working in a customer focused environment, requiring flexibility and the ability to proactively solve problems and present a professional image to clients and the public.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately provide information, enter data and use a range of corporate information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with clients with varying levels of English language proficiency.
Highly Regarded:
- Demonstrated experience with Excel and managing large databases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume work environment to a high standard.
