$231,082 package includes salary ($203,592), employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Senior Finance Business Partner leads a team of Finance Business Partners and Finance Business Partner Advisors, providing strategic financial support to senior executives and executive stakeholders. The role partners closely with business leaders to support strategy execution, informed decision-making, and the delivery of organisational outcomes.

As a trusted financial advisor, the Senior Finance Business Partner works collaboratively with stakeholders and finance teams to deliver financial insights and actionable recommendations that support financial sustainability. The role contributes to key financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis, while driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative, value-adding finance function. Through strong organisational acumen and stakeholder engagement, the position helps ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximise learner and community outcomes.

The Senior Finance Business Partner also plays a critical role in supporting stakeholders to develop business strategies, investment proposals, and funding submissions that enable TAFE NSW to respond to the evolving needs of industry, learners, and communities across New South Wales.

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree qualification in related field; Membership of recognised professional accounting association (at member level); and significant relevant skills, knowledge and experience
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect and analyse information, identify variations, problem solve and make decisions and demonstrated experience translating insights into implementable recommendations
• Strong stakeholder engagements and communication skills, including clear experience in influencing and negotiating by building trusted partnerships to optimise business outcomes in large complex organisations.
• Strong skills in building and leading teams and collaboration to ensure broader team success.
• Meet the focus capabilities for the role set out in the Role Description
• A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement)
