K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

In this role you will be responsible for understanding & ensuring the safe operation of mobile equipment to meet targets and report any irregularities immediately. Observe and adhere to the workplace health & safety practices.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Carry out a full pre-start check of the equipment before use and fill in a pre-start checklist form.
• Operate the equipment is in a safe sensible manner.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Staff and Spotter that is assigned.
• Clean down the equipment before end of every shift.
• Perform basic PM maintenance tasks.
• Ensure that the equipment is delivered for servicing when scheduled.
• Conduct general housekeeping at work area.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 8 or above with experience in operating with a Class 7 License that allows operation of different types of equipment.
