K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

In this role you will provide comprehensive Training & Assessment for the Surface Haulage Services (SHS) Department in the safe operation of articulated dump trucks (ADT) used to haul ore from underground to the nearby processing facility. This role also requires; the incumbent to assess competencies in the required standards and issue appropriate licenses and, if required, provide relief operator ADT truck driving.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Provide, maintain, and improve underground mining employee's competency levels through training and assessment.
• Carry out inductions to personnel as required and assist in onboarding of personal.
• Facilitate training on all heavy equipment and ensure that all SHS operating personal and comply to the site approved training programs.
• Organise allocated training for trainees.
• Present Power Point training presentations.
• Conduct a final competency check of all operators before authorising issue of Licence.
• To provide theory and practical training for the safe operation on all SHS equipment to all Operators.
• To ensure that records of the progress of each trainee are maintained.
• Provide necessary training in site standards and SOP’s.
• Manage the delivery of training programs to K92 employees in accordance with training outcomes and agreed objectives.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear example to others.
• Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.
• Ensure Training & Development is conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you possess

• A minimum of Grade 10 education.
• Prior experience as a supervisor.
• Prior experience as a trainer is essential.
• Must have Certificate IV in Workplace Training TRA40B Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in either underground or open cut mining as a miner / operator.
• Previous certificates in operating primarily ADT and secondly surface road maintenance equipment (ie grader, roller, watercart and backhoe)
• Must have a current PNG Class 6 Drivers licence.
• Be able to provide current police clearance.
• Must have good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English.
• Well-developed computer skills.
• Good planning & organizational skills with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and the self-discipline to achieve tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• First Aid Certificate
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to present and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
