An opportunity, Built for you

As an Estimator at Built, your role will be to accurately predict the costs of a project by analysing project requirements, materials, and labour. Using this information, they will create a cost estimate or budget outlining any potential risks and opportunities which are leveraged throughout the life of the project to manage cost.

Here’s what a typical day might look like for you:

• Using relevant market rates from recent projects (where applicable) and obtaining subcontractor input as appropriate, prepare accurate cost estimates to reflect market pricing.
• Maintaining productive and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through accurate information and transparent communication.
• Compiling all relevant information in the compilation of cost estimates based on client briefs and projects requirements in accordance with Built policies and procedures.
• Reviewing tender and/or project risks and opportunities for the purpose of continuous improvement and to mitigate threats to Built’s commercial position.

You won’t shy away from a challenge and will always own the problem, knowing you’ve got the full support of the team. Here are the essentials you’ll need for this role:

• 3-5 years experience as an Estimator with demonstrated experience across varied projects/sectors
• Experience preparing robust cost estimates based on benchmarking, including obtaining and scrutinising market input when appropriate
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and work with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers
• Early phase cost planning experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory

• A collaborative and agile approach – you know how to adapt quickly and influence with credibility.
