Join UniSC as a key technical expert, where you'll design and develop high-quality software solutions that power our core administrative systems. You will
- Lead and work with appropriate stakeholders to architect, document technical requirements and/or implement new systems, integrations or system enhancements in accordance with UniSC policies and procedures;
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to support effective decision‐making; and
- Implement a proactive approach to continuously enhance and refine the processes related to enterprise applications, ensuring their optimal functionality, reliability, and efficiency by identifying areas for improvement, applying best practice, and leveraging emerging technologies to streamline operations and maximise productivity.
About you
You're highly organised and thrive in fast-paced environments, with excellent time management skills that allow you to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities with ease. Your strong interpersonal skills shine through in every interaction, and you’re confident communicating with a diverse range of clients, both verbally and in writing. You’re also thorough and process-driven, with a keen eye for detail when preparing documentation, following procedures, and maintaining accurate records to support smooth and efficient operations.
You will possess:
- Completion of a post graduate degree in information technology or equivalent; or progress towards post graduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience in the information technology sector; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Experience in the development, implementation and support of enterprise applications and related infrastructure, including object-oriented programming, application services, web services and relational databases;
- Experience providing support for all stages of the development and maintenance life cycle within an enterprise Oracle Peoplesoft ERP application environment, including request and incident resolution, system improvements and application patching;
- Effective analytical skills to collate customer requirements using structured methodologies to prepare functional requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver products using good software development principles;
- Experience with the administration, monitoring, and patching of ERP PeopleSoft, preferably adopting scripting and automation tools where possible to optimise workflows;
- Experience undertaking a lead role liaising and negotiating with external vendors regarding matters related to the development, support and maintenance of the vendor’s software application; and
- Expertise in SQL Server database development and scripting, with a demonstrated proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell.
