The Opportunity

Join UniSC’s dynamic Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting student success through quality placement experiences. In this student-centred role, you’ll manage placement administration, liaise with host organisations to secure opportunities, maintain accurate records, and provide friendly, responsive support to students. You’ll collaborate across the wider WIL team to foster an inclusive, innovative culture, while using your strong administrative skills and sound judgement to make policy-based decisions that drive continuous improvement.

About you

You’re highly organised and bring strong administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to shifting deadlines in a dynamic environment. Your well-developed customer service skills and results-driven mindset ensure you deliver a positive experience to all stakeholders. You work independently with confidence, exercising initiative, sound judgement, and problem-solving abilities, escalating issues when needed to keep everything on track.

You will possess:

  • completion of a degree, or an equivalent experience and/or education/training in the industry;
  • demonstrated attention to detail and effective to well-developed data entry, communication and reporting skills, including the ability to use the university’s Placement Management System and other technologies;
  • effective to well-developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse range of people including students, academic staff, professional staff and external host organisations;
  • experience in applying a continuous improvement approach to the development and review of shared work processes and adhering to a framework of established policies and procedures; and
  • routine to general knowledge of WIL within the higher education sector, including an understanding of the importance and influence of regulation and accreditation requirements.
