The Opportunity

UniSC Clinical Trials builds the region’s collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in collaboration with healthcare professionals, industry partners and research stakeholders. The Systems and Data Associate contributes to this mission by supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of electronic systems critical to the delivery of clinical trials across a geographically diverse network.

In this role, you will support the creation and management of electronic source documentation and assist with technology implementations and system enhancements that enable efficient, compliant and high-quality clinical trial operations.

You will

  • support the maintenance of core clinical trial systems by assisting with the production and management of electronic source documents (eSource) across a multi-site clinical trials network;
  • assist with the implementation, integration and validation of new technologies and system enhancements that support continuous improvement across the clinical trials environment;
  • follow established processes and templates to manage documentation, reviews and approvals workflows; and
  • provide first-tier support and troubleshooting assistance for electronic systems and technology-related enquiries.

About you

You are a detail-oriented and proactive team member with strong technical aptitude and an interest in supporting innovative clinical research environments. You are comfortable working with digital systems, following established processes and managing documentation accurately and consistently. You bring strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across geographically diverse teams.

You will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications, training and/or experience demonstrating your ability to support and troubleshoot technology systems and processes;
  • Strong computing skills across major operating systems and standard business technologies;
  • Experience working with cloud-based systems, standard IT hardware, databases or managed operating environments;
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow established procedures and manage documentation workflows accurately;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders; and
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Desirable

  • experience includes an understanding of clinical research environments, Good Clinical Practice principles, or regulations relating to electronic systems and electronic signatures within clinical trials.
