The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide expert research support services within the Library’s areas of responsibility across a range of formats, contributing to the development and enhancement of the University's institutional research repository and research data management services. You will play a key role in increasing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of UniSC research outputs, while working collaboratively with the Office of Research, Graduate Research School, academic staff, and other stakeholders to enhance research capability, engagement, and excellence across the University.
You will also play an active role in library-wide initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement, service development, and innovation in research support.
You will
- deliver high-quality, tailored research support services to researchers, students, and staff across face-to-face, online, and blended environments;
- contribute to the management and enhancement of the institutional research repository, research data management services, and scholarly communication initiatives;
- and support library-wide services and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance research engagement, capability and impact in collaboration with the Office of Research.
About you
You are a collaborative and forward-thinking professional with strong research support expertise and a commitment to excellent client service. You are comfortable working across complex stakeholder environments and contributing to evolving service models within higher education.
You will possess:
- a relevant degree with subsequent experience and eligibility for ALIA Associate membership;
- strong knowledge of the research landscape, including policy, funder requirements, and scholarly communication trends; demonstrated experience in research support services, including research impact, publishing, and researcher profile development; excellent analytical, research, and reporting skills;
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships; demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and manage competing priorities; and
- a commitment to continuous improvement, adaptability, and evidence-based service enhancement in a dynamic environment.
