The Opportunity

The Project Officer, PACE Curriculum Development sits within UniSC’s Centre for Learning and Teaching and reports to the PACE Program Manager. The role plays a critical part in delivering curriculum transformation projects that support the University’s PACE Learning and Teaching Model, a major initiative designed to provide greater flexibility, personalisation and student success outcomes through renewed curriculum design and modernised learning pathways.

Working across a diverse portfolio of curriculum and program projects, you will lead project coordination activities from planning through to implementation, partnering with academic and professional staff to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will bring structure, rigour and stakeholder focus to complex projects while supporting change adoption across the University.

You will

• Manage the design, development and implementation of allocated projects for new or changing programs post-academic governance approval to delivery;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports, ensuring standards and requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle;
• Engage with internal teams for information and support, identify and work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to collaborate and deliver solutions that achieve timely project objectives;
• Coordinate project communications, change activities and team initiatives, including the provision of change support to stakeholders as required throughout the project lifecycle;
• Ensure alignment with the governance structures and frameworks required to maintain the quality and assurance of UniSC projects; and
• Create an outstanding customer experience in line with the imperatives of the University strategic plan.

About you

You are a highly organised and collaborative project professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing people together to deliver meaningful outcomes. With strong project coordination skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, you confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining a proactive and solutions-focused approach. You are equally adept at coordinating project activities, preparing governance documentation, facilitating workshops and meetings, tracking risks and milestones, and supporting change initiatives. Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to transformational projects that enhance the student experience, drive continuous improvement, and support the delivery of future-focused education.

You will possess:

• Demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end project delivery, including scheduling, analysis, requirements gathering, solution development, and implementation using recognised project management frameworks and toolsets;
• Demonstrated experience using digital tools and platforms to support project delivery and collaboration, including the Microsoft 365 suite (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot), and project/task management systems (e.g. Asana, MS Project, Planner, or similar), with experience using Asana highly desirable;
• Demonstrated understanding of change and communication approaches to support project success outcomes;
• Strong business analysis capability, including the ability to research, evaluate options, prepare documentation, and recommend business process improvements;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including confidentiality, diplomacy, active listening, and productive relationship building with stakeholders;
• Demonstrated adaptability and agility, with the ability to quickly take on new initiatives and respond to changing operational requirements; and
• Experience supporting or delivering projects within a higher education environment, ideally in curriculum development, program implementation, or learning and teaching initiatives.
