The Opportunity

The Academic Support Unit (ASU) provides specialist academic and operational support across UniSC, including school support and multidisciplinary clinics. As the Clinic Administration Assistant, you will provide reception and administrative support to UniSC's Student-Led Clinics, working closely with the Clinic Coordinator, clinical educators, students and clients to support smooth and efficient clinic operations. This is a part-time (0.7 FTE / 25.38 hours per week) role, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

You will coordinate appointments and enquiries, support clinic systems and resources, maintain accurate records and contribute to a professional and welcoming experience for clients, students and staff.

You will

  • provide professional reception and administrative support, including managing enquiries, appointments, triage and waitlists;
  • support clinical educators and students with clinic systems, data and reporting while maintaining confidentiality; and
  • assist with clinic resources, spaces and operational requirements and contribute to continuous improvement.

About you

You are an organised and customer-focused administration professional who enjoys working in a busy environment and engaging with a diverse range of people. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement and attention to detail, and are confident using technology and learning new systems. You work well independently and as part of a team and are committed to providing a high-quality service.

You will possess:

  • Completion of an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in reception and/or administration, preferably in a clinical, health, education or professional services environment;
  • Highly developed organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, clients and stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement and use initiative; and
  • Highly developed computer literacy, including Microsoft 365, with the ability to quickly learn and use new systems and technologies.
