The James City Service Authority (JCSA) seeks an individual to perform responsible work installing, maintaining, repairing, and constructing the James City Service Authority water distribution systems. Must be able to work an on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies. May be designated to work during closures, after hours, and during emergencies.
There are four levels in the Water Distribution Utility Worker series distinguished by the level of work performed and the qualifications of the employee.
Water Distribution Utility Worker I $39,676 / yr or higher depending on qualifications Water Distribution Utility Worker II $42,402 / yr or higher depending on qualifications Water Distribution Utility Worker III $45,337 / yr or higher depending on qualifications Water Distribution Utility Worker IV $48,487 / yr or higher depending on qualifications

In addition to annual cost-of-living increases, our step pay plan provides regularly scheduled wage increases throughout the course of a career. * Candidates with minimum experience and qualifications may be hired into the first step of a pay grade. If hired at the entry level, the JCSA pay plan is structured to provide:
- 5.0% step increases annually for the first four years of service.
- 1.5% step increases annually, thereafter.
