The James City Service Authority seeks an individual to perform responsible engineering work including design, construction and administration of capital improvement projects or programs, review and approval of development projects, studies and analyses for water/wastewater systems, and inspection of public and private development and capital improvement projects related to water/wastewater facilities.
There are four levels of Engineer distinguished by the level of work performed and the qualifications of the employee.
Engineer I - $75,045 – $134,337 / year depending on qualifications
Engineer II - $80,428 – $143,973 / year depending on qualifications
Engineer III - $86,217 - $143,973 / year depending on qualifications
Engineer IV - $92,440 - $165,476 / year depending on qualifications

In addition to annual cost-of-living increases, our step pay plan provides regularly scheduled wage increases throughout the course of a career. * Candidates with minimum experience and qualifications may be hired into the first step of a pay grade. If hired at the entry level, the JCSA pay plan is structured to provide:
• 5.0% step increases annually for the first four years of service. • 1.5% step increases annually, thereafter.
