Job Summary
$55,910 - $87,242/ year DOQ + Full-Time County Benefits
Performs responsible work preparing, maintaining, and reviewing fiscal or related accounts; maintains County and fiscal agency official financial records, reviews disbursement vouchers and issues checks, and assists in preparing and distributing various financial reports.

Responsibilities:
• Reviews documents for appropriate charges, coding, receipts, forms, and compliance with federal, state, and County procedures. • Verifies and processes invoices for payment accuracy and proper approvals. • Matches invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation. • Prepares and processes vendor payments, including checks, Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, and electronic payments. • Maintains accurate accounts payable records and payment schedules. • Reconciles vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. • Ensures timely payment processing in compliance with applicable regulations and payment terms. • Assists with year-end accounts payable accruals and audit documentation. • Responds, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of inquiries from the public, vendors, County offices or fiscal agencies. • Interprets County policies and applicable state policies to vendors, the public, and other County employees. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• A high school diploma, or equivalent, and experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (MUNIS) and local government accounts payable experience preferred. • Must possess reliable transportation to work site(s). • Knowledge and proficiency in data entry, standard office procedures, practices, and equipment. • Skill and strong proficiency in use of computer software, especially Microsoft Excel. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees and the public. • Ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative and attention to detail to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
