Job Description

This position serves as a member of the IT Infrastructure team and assists in the technical implementation, management and maintenance of several auxiliary business systems, including ONE Card, parking, card readers, electronic door access, video surveillance,and intrusion alarms.

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting for computers and related peripherals.
• Understanding of networked/automated electronic access control, alarm and surveillance systems and software.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly resolve hardware and software problems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to research and document solutions to complex technical problems.
• Willingness to seek out methods to improve systems and procedures.
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
•Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with physical security protocols and practices.
• Experience with door access and alarm system hardware.
• Experience with video surveillance hardware.
• Understanding of low-voltage electrical wiring.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Preference given to candidates with DCJS Electronic Security Technician or Electronic Security Technician's Assistant training.
