Job Description

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Housing Operations, the Manager of Housing Assignments is responsible for the overall administration of room assignment processes, occupancy management, accurate processing of housing applications, room and board assignments, and associated audits. Responsible for student account billing and reconciliation of room assignments, meal plans, and other room charges in collaboration with Bursar and University Services. The Manager of Assignments hires, trains, and supervises student workers who provide customer service through front desk reception. This position has constant, direct communication with students and families to inform, support, and resolve room assignment-related matters.

Required Qualifications

•A combination of education, training, and experience in the related field.
•Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrated problem-solving and ability to understand and navigate complex processes.
•Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as with a team to advance shared goals.
•Demonstrated experience with computers and administrative software applications.
•Experience developing and compiling data reports.
•Experience providing high-quality customer service or front-line service to a wide range of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Direct experience in college or university housing administration, property management, occupancy management, or apartment contracts/leasing.
•Experience in database management, especially residential occupancy software.
•Demonstrated understanding of university housing operations.
•Experience supervising and/or training staff.
