Job Description

The Progression & Graduation Coordinator performs, coordinates, and provides analysis of BSN student progression and graduation activities and provides analyses for both the Radford and Roanoke locations for the College of Nursing under supervision of the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing.

Essential Job Functions • Provides leadership through coordination of all BSN progression and graduation activities in the College Nursing.
• Serves as the administrator for the online student management platform and tracks BSN student progression and graduation using this system.
• Provides admission, progression, and graduation analyses and reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing and executive leadership team for strategic planning and regulatory and accreditation reporting.
• Schedules prelicensure BSN students for upper-division coursework.
• Supports college budget control and collaborates with relevant parties through assisting with faculty instructional travel and procurement processes to ensure the college maintains compliance with university and Commonwealth policies and procedures.
• Designs student progression and graduation documents for distribution to students via email, the college website, and social media which meet university requirements and reflect the professional image of the college.
• Provides reports to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing, college executive team, and faculty on all progression and graduation initiatives.
• Serves as a resource for faculty, staff, and students on progression and graduation matters for the college.
• Performs general office administrative assistant duties and other duties as assigned.
• Coordination responsibilities include ongoing collaboration with the administrative staff at Radford's main campus and the university's Roanoke sites.

Required Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with frequent contact with students, faculty, and administrators; able to effectively present to groups.

• Demonstrated effective and trusted leader who demonstrates successful administrative skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to independently perform complex tracking via online student management platform.

• Skilled in multifactorial data analysis and report writing.

• Demonstrated ability to monitor and bring closure to team activities to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work with other administrators, faculty, staff, and students inside and outside the college in a collegial manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, training and/or experience in healthcare and/or higher education
Experience with database management
