Job Summary

The Senior Assistant Director of Admission will provide leadership for Colorado College’s Pre-College Program, overseeing the full student lifecycle from marketing and recruitment through admission, enrollment, and post-program assessment. This role plays a key part in advancing the College’s mission by recruiting and enrolling diverse, academically talented students who reflect the institution’s priorities and values. The Senior Assistant Director will collaborate with campus partners to ensure a seamless experience for students—from initial inquiry through program completion—and will offer support to individuals participating in college access initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Pre-College Program team’s marketing and recruitment initiatives to meet enrollment and net tuition revenue goals. Establish Pre-College admission guidelines including design of application forms, creation of admission rating rubric, and disbursement of scholarships. Design a pipeline to enroll more Pre-College students as full-time, undergraduate matriculants at Colorado College.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for students seeking Pre-College Program enrollment. Build strong relationships with high school students and their families, high school counselors, community-based organization staff, and college access partners. Lead information sessions for prospective students and their families and travel to recruitment events off campus.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to ensure a safe, enriching environment for high school students admitted to Summer Pre-College who will live and study on campus for two-and-a-half weeks in the summer. Serve as a liaison to professors who teach in the Pre-College program. Hire, mentor and supervise student staff. Provide support and mentoring to individuals in Colorado College’s access programs.
  • Serve as an undergraduate admission officer including outreach and recruitment, territory management, leading information sessions on campus, and serving on office project teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field​
  • 3 years of experience in a related field ​

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • $51,779 to $62,135 per year
