We currently have a vacancy for a Manager Facilities to join the team on a fulltime ongoing contract. The role is responsible for looking after all of the services that help a business do its work by ensuring that the facilities are able to be delivered in the most effective way.
About the role
This position will hold a range of responsibilities, including:
- Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology and etc
- Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and electricity, air conditioner, are well-maintained
- Allocating and managing space in the building
- Coordinating and executing timely maintenance of the building with external stakeholders
- Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Maintaining stores to standards, including stocking and cleaning.
- Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, and security
- Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices.
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Optimizing profits by controlling costs.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent – Facilities Management discipline desirable.
- 5 years-experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English with good command of the language.
- Strong business sense.
- Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and manage teams and projects
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organisational, time management, prioritization skills
- Ability to handle a complex, varied workload
