Reset the system. Elevate the function. Build workforce capability that lasts.
Melbourne | Full-time | Hybrid (4 days in the office) | Reporting Directly to the CPO
Jewish Care is a large, values led human services organisation supporting thousands of people across aged care, disability and community services. As we mature operationally, the way we attract, plan and sustain our workforce must evolve with us.
We are seeking a senior Talent Acquisition leader to take ownership of recruitment at organisational scale not to fill roles faster, but to rebuild how talent acquisition works.
If you are known for bringing structure to complexity, discipline to inconsistent systems and credibility to senior conversations, this role will stretch you and give your work real meaning.
This is a rare opportunity to:
- Lead the end to end reset of a high volume talent acquisition function
- Redesign recruitment frameworks aligned to workforce planning and sustainability
- Shift recruitment from transactional delivery to strategic workforce enablement
- Partner with executives on demand planning, governance and hiring discipline
- Rebuild and modernise the student placement program as a future workforce pipeline
- Reduce risk, cost and dependency through smarter systems and controls
You won’t be “doing recruitment.” You will be setting the standard for how recruitment operates across the organisation.
As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead a small recruitment team, personally manage a defined recruitment portfolio and own the systems, governance and performance of the entire recruitment lifecycle.
You will:
- Diagnose what’s not working — workflows, costs, agency reliance, decision quality
- Personally manage a recruitment portfolio, modelling best practice while balancing strategic leadership responsibilities
- Design and implement structured, documented and repeatable recruitment practices
- Embed reporting, metrics and accountability to drive consistency and transparency
- Influence senior leaders to lift hiring discipline and workforce planning maturity
- Build capability across the business through interview training and education
This role is for you if you:
- Are a senior Talent Acquisition leader ready to showcase your capability, with proven experience leading recruitment or TA transformation in complex or regulated environments
- Are confident working in high volume, Enterprise Agreement based workforces
- Bring commercial judgement to agency management and cost to hire decisions
- Can influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
- Enjoy building structure, governance and clarity where none currently exists
- Want your leadership to contribute to real community impact
Experience in aged care, disability, health or not for profit is advantageous but not essential.
